Final Project Update
To be perfectly honest, I have not started my project yet or given much thought to it. The deadline seems so far away that I have a hard time finding motivation to start. As an extremely well-rehearsed procrastinator, I find this an extremely common issue that I run into when it comes to my final projects. My goal is by the seventh week at least to spend an hour a day on the project because I would really like to break this bad habit of waiting until the end.
Anyways, moving on from my rant, my intended project will be a literary interpretive analysis of class relations in The Secret River. I'm not sure how much I want to expand my scope on this because The Secret River features a variety of different groups of people, but I know I want to put my main focus on the class system in colonized Australia during that time period. I plan on using Neatline since I'm already familiar with the tool, but I'm open to any suggestions/ideas of alternatives.
I definitely relate to the procrastination problem you have. Especially for an assignment so far away with no real due dates before finals week, it never really feels like a good time to just start working on something so far out when we have all these assignments from all our classes every day.
